Joshua J McDowell earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2003. He also pursued International Criminal Law Studies at Trinity College in Dublin and International Business Law Studies at Charles University in Prague. He holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University, which he earned in 2000. His academic background reflects a global perspective combined with a deep understanding of both criminal and civil legal systems.

Joshua launched his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s Fourth Judicial District (El Paso and Teller Counties), gaining extensive trial experience in County, Juvenile, and District Courts. He later shifted to criminal defense, serving as Alternate Defense Counsel and Court-Appointed Counsel in multiple Colorado Springs courts.
