Joshua I. Fisher

Joshua I. Fisher is a shareholder at Gallagher & Kennedy in Phoenix, focusing his practice on criminal defense in state, federal, and military courts. With over 200 jury trials to his name, he has defended clients in matters ranging from DUI and vehicular crimes to homicide, fraud, sex crimes, and white collar offenses. He also represents professionals in licensing and administrative hearings, helping them safeguard their careers when facing criminal allegations. His ability to draw on years of trial and prosecutorial experience allows him to handle complex, high-stakes cases with confidence and strategy.

Joshua earned his J.D. from Arizona State University and his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Arizona. These academic foundations gave him the tools to approach criminal defense with both legal precision and a strong understanding of human behavior and decision-making.

Before joining Gallagher & Kennedy, Joshua served more than 15 years as a prosecutor, including seven years with the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office, where he led the drug interdiction unit and later prosecuted complex felonies such as homicide and aggravated assault. He also worked as a prosecutor for the City of Phoenix, where he was appointed Special Assistant United States Attorney. In addition, Joshua served for 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps, representing service members in courts-martial and discharge upgrade proceedings.
