Joseph J. Prieto

Joseph J. Prieto is a skilled criminal defense and DUI attorney with over 23 years of legal experience. As the founder of Prieto Law, PLLC, he has successfully represented clients in a wide range of criminal cases, including DUI and DWI, felony charges, and landlord-tenant disputes. Mr. Prieto earned his B.A. from Franklin Pierce College in 1994, where he focused on finance. He then pursued his J.D. at the University of New Hampshire School of Law, graduating in 2001. His legal education provided him with a solid foundation in trial advocacy, criminal law, and litigation strategies. Additionally, he holds a certification in DWI Detection and Field Sobriety Testing from NHTSA, further enhancing his ability to defend DUI cases effectively.

After law school, Mr. Prieto gained extensive courtroom experience as a public defender at the New Hampshire Public Defender’s Office, handling over 2,000 cases and participating in hundreds of trials.
