Peter R. Willis

Peter R. Willis is a highly respected criminal defense attorney with over 40 years of experience in criminal and civil litigation. Recognized as one of the top defense lawyers in New Jersey, he has successfully defended clients in some of the state’s most high-profile criminal cases. Mr. Willis earned his undergraduate education from Hobart College and Upsala College. He then obtained his J.D. from Suffolk University, equipping him with the legal knowledge and analytical skills necessary to excel in criminal defense. In 1970, he was admitted to the New Jersey Bar, beginning his distinguished legal career.

Mr. Willis’s legal career began in 1970 when he formed a partnership with Eugene Boffa, establishing a firm that employed five associates. In 1978, he co-founded Willis & Young, P.C., where he led a team of three attorneys for over three decades. In 2012, he established Peter R. Willis, Esquire, LLP, where he continues to provide top-tier legal representation.
