His broader practice also serves small and medium-sized businesses, families, and individuals with matters involving business planning, family law, probate, and estate planning. Harris helps clients address disputes, protect important interests, and make informed legal decisions.
Harris earned a B.A. from Idaho State University in 1997 and a J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 2000. He moved to Baker & Harris in April 2004 as an associate and became a partner in 2008. His experience includes successfully arguing before the Idaho Supreme Court for clients denied insurance compensation, as well as handling evictions, collections, foreclosures, entity formation, business sales, divorce, child custody, adoption, guardianship, probate, wills, and other estate planning matters.
Jonathan Harris has remained active in Idaho’s legal and civic communities. He previously served as president of the Seventh Judicial District Bar Association and held leadership roles with the Idaho Potato Museum, Greater Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce, and Cattle Kids 4-H program.
