John S. Webb

John S. Webb is a criminal defense attorney at Webb Law Firm in Saco, Maine, with an additional office in Portland. He represents individuals facing state and federal criminal charges throughout Southern Maine. His practice includes murder, manslaughter, OUI, drug offenses, domestic violence, burglary, theft, and other serious allegations. John helps clients understand the charges, evaluate the evidence, and prepare a defense suited to the facts and risks of each case.

John earned his J.D., cum laude, from Vermont Law School in 1992 and a B.S. from Maine Maritime Academy in 1983. Before entering law practice, he worked as a mechanical engineer for the Department of the Navy, including as a project engineer on Nimitz-class aircraft carriers. He also completed a three-year internship with the York County District Attorney’s Office while attending law school, gaining early experience with criminal cases and courtroom procedure.

John has more than two decades of experience defending clients in Maine courts, including federal district court. His work covers serious violent crime and homicide matters as well as OUI cases involving alcohol or drugs. He has completed specialized training on Intoxilyzer breath-testing equipment and regularly addresses scientific evidence, field sobriety testing, sentencing, and motor vehicle issues.
