John S. Koda

John S. Koda, Esq., has practiced law in Florida for more than three decades, offering clients knowledgeable representation in general civil matters. His work spans business, corporate, real estate, construction, and consumer protection disputes. Over the years, he has appeared before appellate courts, administrative panels, and arbitration forums, earning a reputation for thorough preparation and practical advocacy.

John earned a B.A. from Purdue University in 1984 and a J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1989. He is admitted to the Florida Bar and was a founding member and past president of the Venice-Englewood Bar Association, now known as the South County Division of the Sarasota County Bar Association. His education and professional leadership reflect his dedication to maintaining high standards of ethics and legal precision.

John devoted more than twenty years as lead litigation counsel for the oldest law firm in South Sarasota County, guiding complex corporate and consumer cases from inception to resolution. Later, as senior staff counsel for the Florida Division of Consumer Services, he prosecuted consumer protection actions statewide. His command of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUPTA) has proven invaluable in defending clients and resolving disputes involving deceptive business practices.
