John P. Paone III

John P. Paone III, Esq., is a Senior Associate at Paone Zaleski & Murphy whose practice is exclusively devoted to matrimonial litigation and family law. He handles divorce, child support, child custody, equitable distribution, alimony, domestic violence, palimony, and related disputes. His work focuses on helping clients address difficult family matters involving financial, parental, and personal concerns. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and represents clients in courts throughout the state.

Mr. Paone earned his J.D., with honors, from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He served as an Associate Editor of the Law Review during law school. He earned his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Muhlenberg College. His academic background in legal research, writing, and analysis established a strong foundation for matrimonial litigation and courtroom advocacy.

Mr. Paone previously served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey in the Specialized Crime Unit. He tried cases before juries and appeared before Superior Courts throughout the state. Earlier, he served as a law student extern to New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Barry Albin. He later clerked for Superior Court Judges Glenn Berman and Ann McCormick in the Chancery Division.

He has served in leadership roles with the Middlesex County Bar Association and belongs to several state and county bar organizations.
