Lisa D. Stern

Lisa D. Stern is a Michigan family law attorney with more than 30 years of experience handling domestic relations matters. Her practice covers divorce, child custody, parenting time, spousal support, prenuptial agreements, adoption, and post-judgment proceedings. She represents clients in high-asset divorces involving closely held businesses, business valuations, significant marital estates, retirement assets, and complex income structures. Her practice serves clients throughout metro Detroit and Oakland County.

Lisa earned a B.A. from Michigan State University. She later received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan. Her academic background provided the foundation for a career focused on Michigan family law and domestic relations matters.

Lisa works with psychologists, mediators, forensic accountants, substance abuse assessors, private investigators, and other professionals when their expertise supports a case. She has served on the boards of Fair Michigan and the Michigan Chapter of the ADL. Her honors include the 2024 Influential Women of Law award and the 2021 Women’s Lawyer of the Year award from Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
