Charioty I. James is the managing partner of James & Parlange Law and a seasoned litigator with a strong track record in family law, probate, business litigation, estate planning, oil and gas law, and personal injury. Her diverse legal background enables her to provide strategic and compassionate representation across a broad spectrum of legal matters.
Charioty earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, graduating with high honors. During law school, she received multiple scholarships and was recognized with awards for academic excellence and leadership, including the prestigious Spirit of Ignatius Award and Law Excellence Awards in several key legal subjects.
Prior to founding her own firm, Charioty practiced at respected law firms, handling complex litigation, including commercial, personal injury, construction, product liability, and mass toxic tort cases. Her experience in both corporate and general practice has honed her ability to analyze and litigate multifaceted legal issues.
Charioty is admitted to practice in all District and County Courts in Texas, as well as in the state’s Federal District Courts. Her legal approach is defined by both empathy and tenacity—she is known for deeply understanding her clients’ needs while fiercely advocating for their interests in court.
