John M. Gerro is a highly experienced real estate attorney with more than 45 years of experience in Real Property Law. His work spans both transactional and litigation matters, giving clients strong guidance through complex real estate challenges. He has handled hundreds of cases involving development, financing, title issues, escrows, broker matters, tax-deferred exchanges, and lease negotiations at Gerro & Gerro, Attorneys At Law. His background also includes work in mediation, arbitration, trials, and the overall structuring of large property deals. Throughout his career, he has helped individuals, businesses, and professionals secure effective solutions in California’s fast-changing real estate market.
John holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance/Real Estate) and a J.D. from Southwestern Law School. In addition, he has been a licensed real estate broker since 1974. This blend of legal and business training gives him a strong understanding of financial issues, property valuation, and the legal system, enabling him to provide comprehensive guidance to his clients.
John has helped clients navigate real estate purchases, sales, and development projects of all sizes in his long career. He has structured numerous industrial, office, commercial, and residential subdivision projects. His experience as an expert witness, mediator, and arbitrator has also helped people reach fair and efficient resolutions under challenging disputes. He has presented lectures across California for attorneys, brokers, and real estate professionals, covering essential topics such as leasing, title issues, and transaction planning. His articles in legal and real estate publications have provided clear guidance on such topics as industrial leases, living trusts, and due-on-sale clauses.
