About
John J. Raspante is a dedicated attorney focused on family law, divorce, criminal defense, and personal injury matters. He appears in court daily and works hard to protect the rights of the people he represents. Through clear guidance and strong advocacy, he helps clients face difficult legal situations with confidence. His background as a former prosecutor gives him valuable insight into how cases are handled on both sides of the courtroom.
John holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Utica College and an M.Ed. from Syracuse University. He later earned his J.D. from Widener University School of Law, where he served as a senior member of Law Review. This combination of training has strengthened his research, writing, and analytical skills, all of which support his work as a trial lawyer.
John began his legal career as an Assistant County Attorney, where he prosecuted child abuse and neglect cases. He then served as an Assistant District Attorney for Oneida County, prosecuting thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases. His work also included serving as a special prosecutor in multiple counties. These roles helped him build strong courtroom experience, negotiate fair outcomes, and understand the needs of victims, families, and communities.
John J. Raspante uses this extensive background to guide clients through significant life challenges today as the founder of John Raspante Law. Whether handling a family dispute, defending someone facing criminal charges, or advocating for an injured client, he works to achieve the best possible results. His steady communication, strategic planning, and deep knowledge of the law allow him to support clients at every stage of their case.
