John C. Talbott is a Kentucky land use and real estate law development attorney at Bardenwerper, Talbott & Pregliasco, PLLC with more than 30 years of experience. His practice focuses on rezoning, land development, entitlements, planning approvals, and large-scale commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed-use projects. He represents prominent developers and guides projects through planning commissions, legislative bodies, and regulatory agencies. His work includes developments ranging from subdivisions and industrial parks to major mixed-use projects.

Mr. Talbott earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law. During law school, he served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Education. His education provided a foundation for his long-standing focus on zoning, development, real estate, and regulatory matters.

Mr. Talbott founded Talbott & Talbott, PLLC in 2000 and joined his current practice as an equity partner in 2004. He works with land planners, engineers, architects, public officials, and planning staff to move development projects through complex approval processes. His experience includes zoning map amendments, conditional use permits, final plats, feasibility planning, and public-private coordination. He has advised on active development projects valued collectively at several billion dollars across Kentucky.

John C. Talbott serves on the Board of the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville and participates in its Land Development Committee. He serves on Greater Louisville Inc.’s Land Development Committee and received the Building Industry Association’s Associate of the Year award in 2022. His work spans Louisville Metro, Oldham, Bullitt, Shelby, Henry, and surrounding counties. His practice combines regulatory knowledge, development strategy, and advocacy for complex Kentucky real estate projects.
