John C. Reed

John C. Reed is an experienced bankruptcy lawyer at Reed Law, PC, focused on bankruptcy, business law, and commercial litigation. He represents both debtors and creditors in Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 cases. He also advises clients on pre-bankruptcy planning to help them protect assets and make informed financial decisions. Mr. Reed earned his J.D. from University of Columbia School of Law in 1980 and his B.S. from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in 1977. This background continues to guide his careful and strategic approach to every case he handles for clients across Missouri.

Mr. Reed began his legal career as an Assistant Missouri Attorney General, serving from 1980 to 1984. Since entering private practice in 1984, he has focused on bankruptcy and related business matters. He works closely with clients to evaluate their options, reduce financial stress, and develop workable plans for recovery or restructuring.

He is a member of The Missouri Bar and has served on the Panel of Bankruptcy Trustees for the Western District of Missouri since 1992.
