Jill Collins

Jill Collins is a Washington attorney who has focused her legal career on bankruptcy law since 1998. She represents individuals in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy cases, guiding clients through the process with clarity and care. Since 2008, her practice has been devoted exclusively to consumer bankruptcy matters. She serves clients in Lewis, Thurston, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Pierce Counties, with cases filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Tacoma.

Jill graduated Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude with Bachelor’s degrees in English and French from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also earned a Secondary Teaching Certification. She later earned her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1998, graduating Cum Laude. Her education provided a strong foundation in research, writing, and analytical skills that support her detailed and client-focused legal practice.

Before becoming an attorney, Jill worked as a bankruptcy paralegal and later for a Seattle Chapter 7 Trustee. This experience gave her valuable insight into the bankruptcy system from multiple perspectives. Since beginning her practice in November 1998, she has helped clients understand their rights, evaluate their financial options, and pursue debt relief solutions. Her approach emphasizes a simple, organized filing process and individualized attention to each case.

Jill Collins is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. She serves on the executive committee of the WSBA Creditor-Debtor Rights section. She has also received Pro Bono Publico Service Commendations from the Washington State Bar Association. Through compassionate guidance and practical advice, she works to help clients regain financial stability and move forward with confidence.
