John Adolph

John Adolph is a finance attorney who represents financial institutions, debt funds, developers, and investors in transactions across the country, including Texas, Florida, California, New York, and Louisiana. His practice centers on sophisticated lending structures, complex development projects, and strategic business transactions spanning multiple industries.

John earned a B.A., Plan II, Government, 2004, highest honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Texas at Austin. He later received his J.D., cum laude, in 2007 from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the International Law Review.

John focuses on commercial real estate finance involving office, retail, healthcare, multi-family, and mixed-use developments. He has substantial experience with data centers, energy projects, cell towers, fiber optic lines, and manufacturing properties. His work includes syndicated finance, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, loan-on-loan structures, participations, and intercreditor agreements.

John also represents lenders and borrowers in construction and acquisition loans secured by projects nationwide. He has advised regional banks on working capital lines of credit and managed large asset pools for borrowing base facilities. His experience includes syndicated master repurchase transactions and major hospitality developments involving private equity financing.

John regularly handles loan workouts and restructuring matters, guiding clients through forbearance agreements, loan assumptions, and foreclosures. He assists with guarantor litigation, recovery strategies, and post-foreclosure property management, including lease execution, REO oversight, title resolution, and negotiation of conveyance documents in distressed real estate situations.
