Jimmy B. Meeks Jr.

Jimmy B. Meeks Jr. is a member of Pepper Meeks & Whitaker in Nashville, Tennessee. He represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings. Before joining the firm, he developed a litigation practice in Washington State. His experience includes matters involving construction, development, real estate law, insurance, contractual disputes, and other significant business conflicts.

Jimmy earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law. He graduated in 2017 and later developed his litigation practice in Washington before relocating to Nashville. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and before the US District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee.

Jimmy has represented construction and development companies, major farming operations, medical device companies, and other businesses in complex litigation. His representative matters include disputes involving pipelines, oil rig operations, insurance claims, real estate development, and defective products. He secured dismissal of a $17 million contractual indemnity claim involving a natural gas explosion and successfully defended the result on appeal.

Jimmy B. Meeks Jr. also handles appellate matters arising from complex commercial disputes. In a recent Tennessee case, he successfully appealed and overturned a Tennessee Consumer Protection Act judgment after securing a zero-damages ruling at trial for a developer.
