Dave Ratner

Dave Ratner is a Colorado- and New York-licensed attorney who advises creative professionals and businesses on intellectual property and business law. His practice covers copyrights, trademarks, trade names, trade dress, trade secrets, and related business matters. He works with filmmakers, video production companies, designers, developers, authors, publishers, musicians, songwriters, photographers, fashion designers, and other creative clients, helping them protect their work, negotiate deals, and pursue business goals.

Dave earned a B.A. from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver College of Law. Before practicing law, he worked in the music and entertainment industry as a tour manager, publicist, band manager, and founder of a management agency. This background gives him practical insight into the legal and business concerns creative professionals face.

Dave advises clients on protecting and maximizing the value of creative work while addressing broader business needs.
