About
Jim Hund serves as Of Counsel to Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers, a firm with an Albuquerque office serving injured clients across New Mexico. His work draws on nearly 40 years of active trial practice and focuses on complex civil litigation, appellate matters, and cases involving catastrophic injuries. Jim assists the firm’s lawyers with difficult legal and strategic issues, bringing extensive courtroom and appellate experience to serious injury cases.
Jim attended Texas Christian University from 1977 to 1980 and later earned his J.D. cum laude from Baylor University School of Law in 1983. While at Baylor, he served as an associate editor of the Law Review and was a member of the Board of Barristers. His legal education developed strong foundations in advocacy, legal analysis, and written argument that supported a long career handling complicated trial and appellate matters.
During almost four decades in active practice, Jim tried numerous complex civil cases and served as lead appellate counsel in close to 100 appeals. After stepping away from active trial practice, he became Of Counsel to Glasheen, Valles & Inderman, where he applies that experience to significant cases involving catastrophic injuries. He is admitted in Texas and New Mexico and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas.
Jim Hund has received recognition for both litigation and professional service. He was selected to Texas Super Lawyers from 2003 through 2020 and again in 2024, received the State Bar of Texas President’s Award in 1999, and was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2005. He also taught as an adjunct professor at Texas Tech School of Law and is a life sustaining fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
