Krystle A. Thomas is a Director in Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin, & Robb, P.A.’s Albuquerque office, where she practices in the Litigation Department. Her work emphasizes employment law, professional liability defense, and commercial litigation. Krystle has defended clients in jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts and before administrative tribunals. Her practice combines courtroom advocacy with careful case preparation, allowing her to represent employers, professionals, businesses, and institutions facing complex disputes that require strategic analysis and experienced litigation support across New Mexico statewide.
Krystle earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2006 and her B.A., with high distinction, in Honors Political Science and History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2003. During law school, she served as an Articles Editor for the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. She also participated in the Criminal Appellate Practice Clinic and helped draft a successful habeas corpus petition for an indigent defendant, strengthening her appellate research, writing, and advocacy skills substantially.
Before joining Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin, & Robb, P.A., Krystle served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Cleland of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Her current practice includes employment litigation, professional liability defense, commercial disputes, and matters involving universities and educational institutions. She has represented clients across multiple forums, including trials and administrative proceedings. Her background in federal clerkship work and appellate advocacy supports her ability to analyze complicated legal issues and develop practical defense strategies.
Krystle A. Thomas is admitted to practice in New Mexico and Michigan and remains active in several professional organizations. Her memberships include the American Bar Association, Albuquerque Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. She has volunteered with Christian Legal Aid and participated in Leadership Albuquerque.
