Juan M. Marquez Jr.

Juan M. Marquez Jr. is a Director in Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin, & Robb, P.A.’s Albuquerque office and leads the firm’s Professional Liability section. He practices in the Litigation Department, focusing on professional liability with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense. His work also includes product liability defense, tort and wrongful death defense, and general liability defense. Juan represents clients in complex disputes that require careful factual analysis, strategic preparation, and experienced advocacy through litigation in New Mexico state and federal courts statewide today effectively.

Juan earned his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2008 and his B.S., cum laude, from Eastern New Mexico University in 2004. During law school, he served as a Managing Editor of the New Mexico Law Review and participated on the University of New Mexico School of Law’s ABA National Moot Court team. His academic background and advocacy experience prepared him for a litigation-focused career involving professional liability, health law, and complex defense matters statewide.

Juan’s practice centers on defending professionals and organizations in matters involving medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death, tort claims, and general liability. As leader of the law firm’s Professional Liability section, he helps guide work involving technically demanding and high-stakes disputes. Juan M. Marquez Jr. is admitted to practice in New Mexico and before the US District Court for the District of New Mexico.
