Jill L. Friedman

Jill L. Friedman is a respected trial attorney and partner at Myers, Widders, Gibson, Jones & Feingold, L.L.P. With more than 37 years of litigation experience, she focuses on personal injury, employment law, civil and business lawsuits, and real estate disputes. Ms. Friedman is known for her strong courtroom skills and her commitment to serving individuals, businesses, and professionals facing complex legal challenges. She has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants and is widely recognized for her thorough preparation and determined advocacy.

Ms. Friedman earned her B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was a Chancellor’s Scholar. She later received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Her education built a strong foundation in writing, research, and legal analysis, which she uses every day in her trial and litigation work.

Ms. Friedman has played a key role in significant cases throughout her career. Early in her practice, she worked with the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office and later gained extensive experience in insurance defense and medical malpractice defense. In 2004, she co-chaired a case that led to the California Supreme Court’s decision in Ramirez v. Nelson, shaping state law on homeowner liability. In 2024, she secured a $3.19 million judgment in a real estate fraud case, helping a local educator who had been misled about major property defects. Her ability to uncover the truth and present strong evidence has helped many clients find justice and financial recovery.

Jill L. Friedman is a proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a national organization for highly skilled trial lawyers. She has served in leadership roles within ABOTA and legal organizations across Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties.
