Jessica A. Swain

Jessica A. Swain is Milwaukee’s Injury Lawyer™ and a partner at Nicolet Law Accident & Injury Lawyers. She represents personal injury clients throughout Wisconsin and has recovered nearly $30 million in settlements on their behalf. Her practice is shaped by experience as a prosecutor and insurance defense lawyer, giving her direct knowledge of courtroom procedure, claim evaluation, and the strategies insurers use when defending injury cases.

Swain earned a B.A. from the University of Rochester in New York in 2006 and a J.D. from Marquette University in 2009. Her legal education prepared her for courtroom practice, case investigation, negotiation, and legal writing. After law school, she served as an Assistant District Attorney, managed hundreds of cases, conducted multiple jury trials, and developed daily courtroom experience before moving into insurance defense and later plaintiff-side personal injury work.

Swain’s insurance defense background gave her experience with internal insurance practices, defense strategies, and methods used to evaluate personal injury claims. She now applies that knowledge when representing injured clients against insurers and other responsible parties. Her prosecution experience adds trial preparation and jury experience, while her later defense work contributes insight into claim valuation, negotiation, and the arguments commonly raised against people seeking compensation for injuries.
