About
Jerry Nicholson began his career in 1978 as a Deputy District Attorney for Orange County Superior Court, where he prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases. His assignment to the county’s Narcotics Task Force provided him with crucial experience in handling complex drug prosecutions, laying the foundation for his highly respected criminal defense practice today.
Jerry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach, in 1975, and subsequently received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University in 1978. After graduation, he served as a Deputy District Attorney until 1981, building valuable trial skills and courtroom knowledge. He later co-founded Hunter, Nicholson & Mason before launching his own defense practice in 1987.
For more than three decades, Jerry has represented clients across Long Beach and Orange County in cases involving DUI, violent crimes, narcotics, sex offenses, and white-collar matters. He has established longstanding professional relationships with judges, prosecutors, probation officers, and investigators, providing him with a deep understanding of the criminal justice system and enabling him to effectively advocate for his clients.
In addition to his extensive trial experience, Jerry Nicholson has made significant contributions to the field through his authorship. His 1992 publication, California Gaming Issues in Card Room Liability, reflects his broader knowledge of legal issues affecting the state. At the Law Offices of Jerry, clients are treated with courtesy and respect, receiving clear guidance at every stage of their case.
