Jerry C. Alexander

Jerry C. Alexander is a seasoned trial attorney with over five decades of experience in complex business litigation. Practicing since 1972, he has built a reputation for excellence in handling antitrust matters, business torts, patent disputes, trade secrets, and unfair competition cases. His legal acumen extends to director and officer liability and federal agency advocacy.

Mr. Alexander earned his Bachelor of Arts in English (with a minor in Chemistry) and Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University and its Dedman School of Law. He began his legal journey as a third-year law student and has remained with the firm ever since, rising to become a key figure in Dallas litigation circles.

Throughout his career, Mr. Alexander has delivered significant victories, including a $55 million recovery in a bankruptcy trustee case and a $25 million judgment in a rare lender liability case in the Northern District of Texas. In complex insurance fraud litigation, he has also prevailed in appellate courts, including the Texas Supreme Court. His successes consistently underscore his skill and strategic litigation approach.

Mr. Alexander has made a lasting impact on the Texas legal community. He played a leading role in drafting the Local Rules for Dallas County Civil Courts and has served in nearly every major leadership position within the Dallas Bar Association, ultimately becoming its 107th president in 2016. He went on to chair the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors from 2019 to 2020 and, in 2023, ran for State Bar President-Elect, earning nearly half of the statewide vote.

Honored as a Texas Super Lawyer from 2007 through 2025 and rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, Jerry C. Alexander serves as a leading voice in Texas law. His legacy of service and litigation success marks him as one of the most respected attorneys in the state.
