Jennifer M. Matthews has built a distinguished career as a litigator and legal writer, handling complex matters at both the trial and appellate levels. Her work spans representation for individuals and businesses in personal injury, product liability, construction, employment, and civil rights cases, along with elder law, probate, wills, and trusts.
Jennifer began her academic journey at Baylor University, earning a B.A. in history in 1990. She immediately entered Baylor Law School, completing her J.D. in 1992. She is admitted to practice in all Alabama State Courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Jennifer’s legal expertise includes appellate advocacy in both federal and state courts. She often serves as a ghost appellate writer and also manages cases brought to her for appeal after trial. Her business law experience includes corporate and commercial litigation, business entity formation, LLC planning, and contract disputes.
Jennifer represents clients in matters involving premises liability, professional liability, malpractice, insurance defense, and wrongful death claims. She is also skilled in mediation, helping parties resolve disputes without lengthy litigation.
