Jennifer K. Williams

Jennifer K. Williams is a skilled attorney with extensive experience in business law, real estate, and trusts and estates. As a shareholder in her firm’s Business and Corporate, Trusts and Estates, and Real Estate groups, she provides strategic legal counsel to individuals and businesses. Her work includes mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and general counsel services for companies across multiple industries.

Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 2009. She previously attended the College of Charleston, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French in 2005. Admitted to practice in South Carolina, she is also licensed to appear before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

With more than a decade in private practice, Jennifer has a strong background in commercial real estate transactions, including bulk closings, asset purchases, and commercial lease negotiations. She has also assisted clients with business formation, contract drafting, and corporate governance. Her experience as outside general counsel includes advising companies in the environmental technology, construction, and procurement sectors.

Jennifer K. Williams launched her legal career as an Assistant Attorney General in South Carolina, focusing on post-conviction relief cases and criminal appeals. She then served as an Assistant Solicitor in the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office, where she prosecuted more than 700 felony and misdemeanor cases and tried numerous cases to verdict. This extensive courtroom experience has equipped her with strong litigation skills and a deep, practical understanding of the criminal justice system.

In addition to her legal practice, Jennifer is a title agent for Investors Title Insurance Agency and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company. She is also recognized for her contributions to the legal field, having received accolades such as the “Rising Stars” recognition by Super Lawyers.
