Jeffrey Vance

Jeffrey Vance is a trusted personal injury lawyer and partner at Farnsworth & Vance. Originally from the heart of the Rocky Mountains, he understands self-reliance and determination — qualities that also define Alaskans. Early in life, he served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman and surgical medic, earning a Vocational Nursing License while caring for others. That dedication to service carries through to his legal practice today.

Jeffrey holds an A.S. in Political Philosophy from Solano Community College and a B.S. in Hospital Management and Health Care Administration from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law and an LL.M. in American Indian and Indigenous Persons Law from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Before focusing on injury cases, Jeffrey worked as general counsel for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and served the Bristol Bay Native Association and tribes throughout Bristol Bay.

Jeffrey gained valuable insight into insurance practices by working as defense counsel for one of the world’s largest insurance companies. He saw firsthand how insurers create tactics to take advantage of unrepresented accident victims. Frustrated by these unfair practices, Jeffrey switched sides and now uses his insider knowledge to help injured Alaskans get the fair compensation they truly deserve.
