His work includes pleadings, motion practice, discovery, expert witness issues, negotiated resolutions, and trials. He also advises clients on creating and protecting IP rights that support business operations and brand value.
Jeffrey has helped clients stop improper use of trade names, trademarks, and domain names, often without filing lawsuits. When court action was needed, he pursued fast relief. His experience also includes patent disputes involving software, mechanical, electronic, and related technology matters for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Jeffrey’s trial background includes service as a prosecutor in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He has handled jury trials and other court proceedings for many years. His litigation work also reaches beyond IP matters, including contract disputes, construction claims, and state labor-relations issues.
Jeffrey has helped reduce client risk in high-value disputes, including a matter where copyright preemption lowered potential exposure. He also defended trademark use in a case involving the “nominative fair use” doctrine in the First Circuit, showing his ability to connect legal strategy with business goals.
