Robert M. Duffy

Robert M. Duffy has spent more than 35 years handling complex litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout the United States. His work includes business disputes, fiduciary litigation, intellectual property conflicts, construction matters, and arbitration proceedings. He also advises executives, shareholders, and trustees on litigation strategy, risk management, and insurance coverage concerns.

Robert earned a B.A. from Providence College, cum laude, before completing a J.D. at Suffolk University Law School, cum laude. His academic background supports a broad litigation practice involving commercial disputes, securities matters, health care litigation, and merger-related conflicts. He also serves as an adjunct professor of advanced business law at Providence College, Ryan School of Business.

Robert represents clients in shareholder disputes, fiduciary litigation, broker-dealer and securities litigation, and intellectual property cases. His experience also includes handling disputes connected to mergers and acquisitions, insurance coverage matters, and trade litigation. Businesses, financial services companies, health care entities, and technology companies regularly seek his legal guidance and courtroom representation.

Robert is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
