Ismail Amin advises clients on business, securities, biotechnology, healthcare, and regulatory matters across several industries. His work includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities compliance, intellectual property disputes, and healthcare transactions. He has represented both Fortune 500 companies and privately held businesses in complex legal and commercial matters throughout the United States.
Ismail earned a Double Major, International Studies and Political Science, from the University of California, Irvine. He later received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine School of Law. He also completed a Graduate Certificate in Genetics & Genomics from Stanford University in 2019, expanding his knowledge of biotechnology and scientific regulatory matters.
Ismail continued his education with a Masters Biotechnology, Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship from Johns Hopkins University in 2022. He most recently earned his LLM in Securities & Financial Regulation from Georgetown Law Center. His academic background supports his work in securities regulation, biotechnology compliance, healthcare operations, and complex corporate transactions involving highly regulated industries.
Ismail has guided healthcare providers and business owners through major acquisitions, asset sales, and operational risk matters. He has assisted clients with transactions involving hospitals and other healthcare facilities valued at more than $5 billion. His practice also includes FDA regulatory guidance, biotechnology compliance, and matters involving Pre-Market Approval and 510(k) submissions.
Ismail has participated in more than 90 trials and arbitrations during his legal career. He has handled disputes involving shareholder accounting, securities litigation, trademark matters, trade secrets, and commercial conflicts. His appellate experience includes matters before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, Ninth, and First Circuits, along with several state appellate courts.
Ismail regularly writes about emerging legal and regulatory issues affecting biotechnology and business operations. He contributed updates to the Nevada Civil Practice Manual and has published work discussing technology, autonomous vehicles, and regulatory concerns. Outside his legal work, he supports Endure to Cure and earned Abbott Labs’ 6-star medal after completing all World Marathon Majors.
