Jed R. Silverman

Jed R. Silverman is a seasoned criminal defense attorney and the founding attorney of The Law Offices of Jed Silverman in Houston, Texas. With over two decades of legal experience, he has built a reputation as a trusted advocate for individuals facing serious criminal charges in state and federal Texas courts.

Jed earned his B.S. in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University at Galveston in 1995. He received his J.D. from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1999.

Since being licensed in Texas in 1999, Jed has maintained a strong commitment to protecting his clients’ rights, freedom, and futures. His practice covers a wide range of criminal matters, from DWI and assault to white-collar crimes and federal offenses. His aggressive representation, deep legal knowledge, and courtroom skills have led to one of the best trial records in the region.

Jed is admitted to practice before several federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2015, he also became licensed to practice in Missouri.

Jed R. Silverman has held leadership roles with the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association and has served on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee, where he was Chair for District 4 in 2021–2022. Jed is also a national and local defense organization member, including the National College for DUI Defense and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
