Jay S. Knispel

Jay S. Knispel is the founder and managing partner of the Law Offices of Jay S. Knispel Personal Injury Lawyers in New York City. He represents injured clients throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Westchester, and Long Island. His practice covers car accidents, construction accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, defective products, dog bites, slip-and-fall claims, and wrongful death matters involving serious injuries caused by negligence.

Knispel earned his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and received his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University. After graduating from law school, he was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers. He is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and is admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. His academic and professional training supports a practical approach to complex personal injury litigation.

Before establishing his firm, Knispel served as a senior trial attorney for a major national insurance company. That experience gave him direct knowledge of how insurers evaluate claims, defend lawsuits, and approach settlement negotiations. He has represented commercial clients, including United Parcel Service, Red Lobster restaurants, and Federated Department Stores, as well as hundreds of individuals. His litigation work includes multimillion-dollar catastrophic injury cases involving automobile liability, products liability, and dangerous property conditions.
