Before joining Seager Tufte Wickhem LLP in 2004, Jason was actively involved in his family’s farming operation, and he remains engaged in agriculture today. His firsthand experience gives him unique insights into evolving agricultural technologies, including machinery design, grain handling, livestock systems, and precision farming using GPS-based solutions.

Jason combines deep experience in intellectual property law with a background in agricultural engineering, making him a strategic partner for innovators in a wide range of industries. He guides businesses through every stage of the IP lifecycle—from early concept and portfolio development to patent prosecution and commercialization. Jason is licensed to practice in Minnesota and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
