Jason W. Alexander

Jason W. Alexander is a partner at Sussman Shank LLP who advises companies on legal and business needs and resolves disputes with practical, business-minded solutions. He serves as outside counsel to numerous companies, handling corporate governance, contracts, ownership and succession planning, real estate, construction, creditor and debtor rights, and employment matters. Alexander also represents clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings involving commercial and business disputes.

Alexander earned his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law, with a minor in Alternative Dispute Resolution, and his B.S. from the University of the Pacific, with an emphasis in Finance. He is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington, as well as several federal courts. His legal, financial, and dispute resolution background supports his ability to evaluate business objectives, structure transactions, manage legal risk, and address conflicts efficiently.

Alexander has nearly 30 years of experience advising companies and handling commercial disputes. He serves as outside counsel and registered agent for nearly 50 companies and has worked on purchase and sale agreements, shareholder agreements, commercial leases, bylaws, and operating agreements. His representative matters include resolving multimillion-dollar construction disputes, obtaining an arbitration award for a commercial contractor, and helping a business valued at approximately $100 million negotiate and draft a comprehensive buy-sell agreement.

Jason W. Alexander has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, and Real Estate Law in 2026 and by Oregon Super Lawyers for Business Litigation from 2010 through 2026. He currently chairs the Oregon State Bar Business Litigation Executive Committee and previously chaired its Construction Section Executive Committee.
