Jason Vaughn

Jason Vaughn is the managing member of Vaughn & Smith in Louisville, Kentucky, where he focuses his practice on real estate and construction law. Licensed in both Kentucky and Indiana, Jason has earned recognition as one of the region’s leading real estate attorneys. Since opening the firm in 2001, he has represented major real estate lenders, brokers, developers, and title insurance companies, while continuing to help individuals navigate complex real estate and construction disputes.

Jason earned his B.A. in Secondary English Education from the University of Kentucky in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1996. During law school, he was active on the National Moot Court Team, ATLA Trial Team, and Moot Court Board, and was a semi-finalist in the Pirtle-Washer Oral Argument Competition. Jason is admitted to practice before the state courts of Kentucky and Indiana, as well as multiple federal courts.

In addition to his litigation work, Jason has served for more than 20 years as a mediator and arbitrator for the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors. He has also held leadership roles with the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association’s Real Estate Sections and served as General Counsel for the Kentucky Realtors for a decade. Jason frequently speaks on real estate law topics and has been a published author in respected legal publications.

Jason Vaughn’s dedication to service extends to his community. He serves as Board Member and Fundraising Chair for APRON, Inc., a nonprofit supporting local food and beverage workers in times of crisis. Through trusted representation, practical advice, and community leadership, Jason continues to be a respected advocate for clients throughout Kentucky and Indiana.
