Margaret M. Manning, known as Meg, focuses her legal practice on Chapter 11 business reorganizations, workouts, and out-of-court restructurings. She has more than two decades of experience representing debtors, creditors, committees, landlords, trustees, and receivers in complex insolvency proceedings and related business litigation. Margaret earned her B.S. from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2000. She is admitted to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and before the United States District Courts for the District of Delaware and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Her extensive knowledge of bankruptcy law and restructuring strategies has made her a trusted resource for clients seeking efficient resolutions.
Before joining Gellert, Seitz, Busenkell & Brown LLC, Margaret opened and managed the Delaware office of a regional law firm, where she successfully built its bankruptcy practice. Over her career, she has guided businesses through the intricacies of Chapter 11 cases, negotiated out-of-court settlements, and provided counsel on complex workout strategies to protect her clients’ interests and operations.
Beyond her practice, Margaret M. Manning is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Delaware Bankruptcy Inn of Court, and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, where she has served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Delaware Chapter. She has also been recognized for over ten years of service with the Delaware Office of the Child Advocate, representing the interests of children in foster care. Margaret is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, results-oriented counsel in every matter she handles.
