Jason Smith

Jason Smith is a seasoned trial and appellate attorney with over two decades of courtroom success. Known for challenging corporate giants, insurers, and government agencies, Jason has built a reputation for securing justice through trial verdicts and appellate wins. His legal victories span employment and personal injury cases across multiple Texas counties.

Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from St. Mary’s University in 1989. He then completed his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Texas Tech School of Law in 1992. His early legal career began with a prestigious clerkship as a briefing attorney for Texas Supreme Court Justice Jack Hightower. He later served as an Assistant Texas Attorney General.

Throughout his career, Jason has achieved groundbreaking results, including the first sexual harassment jury verdict in Tarrant County. His appellate work includes landmark cases argued before the Texas Supreme Court, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and several Texas appellate courts in Fort Worth, Dallas, El Paso, and Austin.

Jason is board-certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. His accolades include repeated recognition as a Texas Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters and Top Attorney by Fort Worth Magazine. He is a proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

He has been president of both the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association and the Bar Association Labor and Employment Section.
