Jason Polen

Jason Polen is the founder of Fortify Law in Portland, Oregon, where he focuses on Business and Intellectual Property Law. He advises companies on contracts, internal corporate disputes, employment and HR policies, intellectual property protection, business formation, mergers and acquisitions, exit strategies, and international transactions. His approach reflects the firm’s emphasis on predictable, transparent, and value-driven legal services for businesses and entrepreneurs.

Polen earned a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2016. During law school, he worked with the Lewis & Clark Small Business Legal Clinic, where he handled matters involving new business formation, trademark registration, and contract drafting. That training provided direct experience with the legal needs of growing companies and founder-led businesses.

Before founding Fortify Law, Polen also worked with the in-house legal team at adidas, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements and preparing employee training materials. He later worked with Meriwether Group, a Portland business consulting firm focused on consumer brands and founder exits. Those roles added commercial perspective to his legal practice and reinforced his focus on helping businesses manage risk while pursuing growth.
