Janet M. Gravdal

Janet M. Gravdal is a seasoned partner at McEwen Gisvold LLP, where she has practiced since 1987. With more than 35 years of experience, she focuses her legal practice on real estate law, commercial finance, leasing, sales, and complex multi-state transactions. Jan is widely recognized for her depth of knowledge and trusted counsel in these areas.

Jan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1987. She completed her undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from both Pacific Lutheran University and Washington State University in 1984. Her academic achievements support her thoughtful and precise legal approach.

Jan represents lenders, developers, landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers in complex, large-scale real estate and financing transactions. She also acts as outside general counsel to a national mortgage lender and insurance company, managing high-volume, multi-state deals in 48 states. Her real estate transactional experience is both extensive and highly diversified.

Jan is a member of the Oregon State Bar’s Real Estate and Land Use and Corporate Sections. She has served on the Multnomah Bar Association Board and held leadership roles within its Young Lawyers Section. She is also affiliated with Commercial Real Estate Women and the Mortgage Banker’s Association.

In addition to her professional roles, Jan remains committed to community service. She has served on the boards of the Clackamas Service Center and the Children’s Center of Clackamas County. She has also volunteered through the MBA’s Legal Services for the Poor Committee and Oregon Women Lawyers.
