Jane W. Muir

Jane W. Muir is the Managing Shareholder of J. Muir & Associates, P.A., a Miami law firm dedicated to business law and complex commercial litigation. Her practice includes handling business disputes, structuring transactions, and providing outside general counsel services to companies across Florida. Recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2021 and previously as a Rising Star, she combines courtroom experience with strategic business guidance to help clients achieve stability and long-term success.

Jane Muir earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida, where she studied Political Science, Art History, and International Relations. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where she competed on the Mock Trial Team, received the John F. Evans Memorial Scholarship, and was admitted to the Order of Barristers. Admitted to practice in Florida and federal courts across the state, she also appears before the Tenth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.

A Miami native, Ms. Muir has held numerous leadership roles in the legal community. She has served as President of both the Coral Gables Bar Association and the Miami-Dade Bar Association, where she oversaw the rebranding and renovation of the association’s headquarters during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is also a lecturer on organizational management, cybersecurity, tax, and social media, sharing her knowledge with peers and community groups.

Jane W. Muir’s contributions have earned her recognition, including the Florida Bar’s Lynn Futch Most Productive Young Lawyer Award and the Miami Herald’s “20 Under 40 Emerging Leaders in South Florida.” Active in pro bono work, she received the Pro Bono Service Award for Innovative Projects and has chaired the All-Grove Crime Watch. Her dedication to business clients, the legal profession, and her community reflects her passion for service and advocacy.
