Jane Manwarring

Jane Manwarring is an associate at Migliaccio & Rathod LLP in Washington, D.C. She joined the firm in April 2025 after working as a Housing Staff Attorney with Bread for the City. Her background includes tenant representation, civil litigation, and public-interest advocacy. At her current firm, she works within a practice that handles consumer protection, tenant rights, civil rights, environmental, wage, product liability, and technology-related litigation, bringing direct courtroom and housing experience to complex lawsuits and disputes.

Manwarring earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2022. She served as a Student Attorney in the Reentry Clinic and as a Publications Editor for the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law. During law school, she also interned with the Public Defender Service and FAMM. She received her B.A. from Loyola University Chicago in 2018, following earlier work with a violence prevention initiative in Chicago.

Before joining Migliaccio & Rathod LLP, Manwarring represented tenants facing eviction in the D.C. Superior Court for approximately two and a half years. She handled matters through multiple stages of litigation, including pretrial negotiations, motions practice, discovery requests and responses, and trial preparation. That experience required close attention to factual records, procedural rules, and client circumstances, and it supports her work on civil cases involving individual rights and consumer-facing legal issues.

Jane Manwarring is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar. Her academic work received a commencement award for the best student work published in the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law. Her experience across housing advocacy, public-interest work, and litigation gives her a practical understanding of how legal disputes affect individuals and communities. She brings research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom experience to matters requiring careful case development and client-focused representation.
