James H. Bicks

James H. Bicks is a partner with a complex commercial litigation practice in Stamford and New York. He focuses on intellectual property litigation, accountants’ liability defense, securities matters, professional liability defense, class actions, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Bicks also advises clients on white collar defense, internal investigations, and matters involving the SEC, NYSE, and other regulators. His work supports businesses, accounting firms, insurers, and other clients facing high-stakes disputes and sensitive investigations.

Mr. Bicks earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1988, where he served as editor of the Moot Court Board. He received his B.A. from Pomona College in 1984 and graduated cum laude. His academic background strengthened his legal writing, advocacy, and analytical skills, which support his ability to evaluate complex disputes, develop litigation strategy, and guide clients through regulatory and commercial challenges.

Mr. Bicks has handled significant litigation and investigation matters across several industries. Mr. Bicks is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York and is also admitted before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits.
