James F. Bohrer

James F. Bohrer is a Partner with more than 40 years of legal experience in Indiana. He concentrates his practice on estate planning and probate, real estate transactions and development, zoning matters, business law, and tax protests and appeals. He is admitted to the Indiana State Courts and the U.S. District Court Southern District of Indiana.

James earned his B.S. in 1979 from Indiana University, Bloomington, with a major in Accounting. He later received his J.D. magna cum laude from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington, in 1982. His academic background in both law and accounting supports his work in estate, tax, and business planning matters.

James is Board Certified as a Trust and Estate Lawyer by the Trust and Estate Certification Board of the Indiana State Bar Association. He is a past president of the Hoosier Hills Estate Planning Council and has served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Trust and Estate Specialty Board and the Indiana Bar Foundation.

In addition to his estate planning practice, James advises clients on business formation and transactions, construction law, employment law, and real estate development. He regularly serves as a faculty member for educational seminars on estate planning, probate, and business succession planning.

He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and an associate member of the Indiana Certified Public Accountants Society, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence in trust and estate law.
