Jake Miller

Jake Miller is a founding partner at Grissom Miller, where he focuses his practice on representing injured individuals and workers. With a strong foundation in labor and employment law, Miller has built a career committed to protecting workers’ rights through legal advocacy and public policy. His practice reflects a deep dedication to justice for the working class.

Jake earned his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2019. While in law school, he was president of the Student Bar Association and received a Tax Law Certificate. He was a judicial extern for a U.S. District Court judge and received Pro Bono Honors for volunteer legal service. He also holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Saint Mary and a certificate from UMKC’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Throughout his legal career, Jake has been a strong voice for labor, previously lobbying on behalf of workers through organizations such as the Working Kansas Alliance. He continues to serve as the Executive Director for the alliance, reflecting his enduring commitment to labor advocacy. His selection for the Peggy Browning Foundation’s Workers’ Rights Conference further demonstrates his dedication to worker-focused legal work.

Jake’s bar admissions include Missouri, Kansas, and multiple federal courts. He is a member of respected legal associations, including the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the National Employment Lawyers Association. In addition to practicing law, he has been appointed to various civic roles, such as the Unemployment Compensation Modernization and Improvement Council.
