Jacob Dean

Jacob Dean is the Managing Partner and brings broad experience in tax and business matters. His career includes work with a Fortune 100 company, federal judicial service, private practice, and in-house roles. He is known for careful problem-solving and building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

Jacob earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a focus in Corporate Finance from Brigham Young University. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and later completed a Master of Laws in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center.

Throughout his career, Jacob has worked in diverse legal and business environments. He clerked for Judge Albert G. Lauber of the United States Tax Court, practiced at a Washington, D.C., tax boutique, served as a partner at a regional firm, and worked in-house for a property development firm.

Jacob has earned several academic and professional honors. These include Heritage Scholar at Brigham Young University, Law Review Notes and Comments Editor at the University of Cincinnati Law Review, Graduate Tax Scholar at Georgetown University Law Center, and recognition in the Tannenwald Tax Writing Competition for outstanding legal scholarship.

Jacob is admitted to practice in Idaho, Ohio, and Utah, as well as before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Tax Court. He has also served on nonprofit boards and committees, contributing his experience to organizations focused on governance, education, and community development efforts nationwide.
