About
Jackie R. Clowers is a partner at Waters Tyler Hofmann & Scott in New Albany, Indiana. His practice focuses on estate planning and business matters and draws on earlier experience in litigation. He advises individuals and business owners on planning for present needs and future risks. His work includes probate concerns and business-related questions that may involve property, contracts or disputes requiring both planning and litigation perspectives.
Jackie earned a B.S. in Communications from the University of Tennessee and completed his J.D. at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2012. His communication and legal studies support work that requires clients to understand documents, responsibilities and possible consequences. The combination is particularly useful in estate and business planning, where legal arrangements must reflect an individual’s or organization’s goals.
Jackie began his legal career handling insurance defense litigation at Waters Tyler Hofmann & Scott. He later moved to a larger Jeffersonville firm and worked on commercial and real estate litigation. During that period, he also began assisting clients with probate matters and estate planning. He returned to Waters Tyler Hofmann & Scott as a partner in 2024, joining its estate planning and business practice.
Jackie is licensed to practice in Indiana and Kentucky. His litigation background informs his attention to problems that careful planning may prevent or reduce. He works with individuals and business owners to consider how legal arrangements will operate if disagreements or changes arise later. Jackie R. Clowers brings experience in disputes and long-term planning to clients who need to organize their legal affairs and prepare for future events.
