About
Jackie Ford, Esq., focuses on employment law advising and litigation for employers of many sizes at Structure Law Group, LLP. She works with sole proprietors, growing companies, and publicly traded corporations. Her practice covers wage and hour issues, harassment and discrimination claims, family and medical leave, trade secret confidentiality, executive contracts, and workplace policies. Jackie also handles business litigation, construction contracting and payment claims, debtor and creditor rights, and intellectual property disputes. She helps clients reduce risk, understand legal duties, and respond to claims.
Jackie earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she served as Research Editor for Santa Clara Law Review, Volume 50. She also volunteered as a Certified Law Clerk with the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office and the Workers’ Rights clinic at the Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center. She earned her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with honors. This education supports her work in legal writing, advocacy, and practical problem solving.
Jackie has a law career including advising, policy drafting, and courtroom advocacy. Before joining her current firm in 2014, she worked as a litigation attorney at an Oakland firm, where her practice focused on defending California Community Care Facilities. Her later work expanded across employment disputes, commercial contracts, real estate matters, shareholder rights, and business torts. She has handled pre-lawsuit negotiations, discovery, law and motion practice, mediation, settlement, arbitration, trial, and appellate matters in state and federal court.
Jackie Ford helps employers by giving clear guidance before problems grow into expensive disputes. She drafts workplace policies, employment agreements, and employee handbooks designed to support compliance with California employment laws. When litigation occurs, she defends clients before courts and the Labor Commissioner’s office. Her experience allows her to assess risk, prepare strong responses, and protect business interests. Jackie was selected to Northern California Rising Stars from 2016 through 2020 for her professional work. Clients benefit from her balanced approach to prevention, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
