J. David Morrissy

J. David Morrissy is a partner and co-head of Garfunkel Wild’s Washington, DC office who practices across real estate and construction, employment and workforce management, and litigation and alternative dispute resolution. His real estate work includes sales, acquisitions, financing, development, and leasing. He advises employers on workplace issues and represents clients in complex business disputes, allowing him to address legal problems that cross transactional, operational, and litigation concerns.

David earned a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. His education supports a practice that requires careful contract analysis, negotiation, dispute resolution, and business judgment. He applies that foundation to commercial property transactions, workplace counseling, and litigation, where clients frequently need legal advice that accounts for financial objectives, operational needs, risk allocation, and the possibility of future disputes.

David represents clients selling, purchasing, financing, developing, and leasing commercial real estate.
