Holli Spaulding

Holli Spaulding is an Associate Attorney at Mahan Law in Bellevue, Kentucky. She brings courtroom advocacy, business training, and compliance experience to the firm’s veterinary law practice. Her work supports veterinary practices and professionals in disputes, administrative hearings, civil litigation, outside general counsel matters, and business operations. Before joining the firm, she served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Northern Kentucky handling felony and misdemeanor prosecutions.

Spaulding earned a J.D. from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where she graduated near the top of her class, served as Executive Editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review, and received multiple CALI awards. She also graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego’s business school with academic recognition in Finance. Her combined legal and business education supports work involving litigation, compliance, and organizational decision-making.

As a prosecutor, Spaulding secured hundreds of felony and misdemeanor convictions through plea negotiations and jury trials, developing substantial courtroom experience in high-stakes matters. Earlier in her legal career, she worked in a regional law firm’s Government Services practice group. She has also worked in compliance roles for emerging companies, where she identified operational weaknesses and implemented process improvements, experience that translates to counseling business clients on legal and operational risks.

Holli Spaulding joined Mahan Law in 2026 to strengthen the firm’s representation of veterinarians, practice owners, and animal health professionals. Her background combines trial advocacy, government work, business finance, and regulatory compliance. She brings those skills to disputes and ongoing counseling for veterinary businesses, helping clients evaluate legal exposure, prepare for hearings or litigation, and address business issues with practical and organized legal support.
